• The international enamel festival is planned as an event which will be taking place every two years which will be joined by all interested participants including the representatives of the Ukrainian creative elite, museum employees and collectors, arts critics, artists, architects, designers, mass media representatives and sponsor organizations. The information on the festival will be included in the tourist routes and highlighted on the informational resources of tourist agencies dealing with foreigners.

Topicality:

• The enamel art has long history dating back to the ancient Egypt, Byzantium, medieval Limoges and modern epoch Venice. Ukraine also has its enamel traditions. We can see enamel in Scythian golden adornments, in the diadems and other ornaments of the Kyiv Rus epoch, in the religious objects of glorious Ukrainian epoch of baroque. Since the end of the 19th century the enamel art started developing as an easel art but it was somewhat forgotten during the Soviet regime. Nowadays we observe a new stage in the enamel art development in Ukraine. 

Objective of the festival:

• Popularization of ancient and rare enamel art in Ukraine;
• Highlighting of the modern condition, problems and perspectives of studio enamel;
• Popularization of creative work of modern Ukrainian enamel artists;
  Increase of professionalism of the masters, expansion of the scope of hot enamels use;
• opularization of Ukrainian enamel about the world;
• Sharing of experience.

• Extensive promotion of the unique cultural heritage in the domain of modern decorative and applied arts;
• Familiarization wit possibilities of modern enamel;
• Provision of practical opportunities for professional advance of participants and stimulation of creation of new creative works;
• Familiarization with creative work of the leading enamel artists which revive the ancient and exquisite art in a new way;
• Highlighting of the tendencies in global enamel art;
• Upbringing and formation of aesthetic tastes of the growing generation.
